James Ward-Prowse scored twice for Southampton after they fell behind to fellow strugglers Everton, as Nathan Jones recorded his first Premier League win. Brennan Johnson also scored twice for Nottingham Forest in a 2-0 win against East Midlands rivals Leicester City, while Daniel Podence scored the only goal at Molineux in Wolves’ 1-0 win over West Ham, who drop into the relegation zone.

Southampton beat Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon as Nathan Jones recorded his first Premier League win.
Two second-half James Ward-Prowse goals cancelled out Amadou Onana’s 22nd-minute opener as Saints secured their first league win since October.
The England midfielder calmly slotted home an equaliser before curling a spectacular free-kick beyond Jordan Pickford 32 minutes later.
Southampton remain bottom of the league but the win puts them level on points with Frank Lampard’s side on 15, just a single point adrift from safety.
Deafening boos echoed around Goodison Park at the full-time whistle as the Toffees faithful held up banners urging the owners to make changes.

Elsewhere, West Ham United dropped into the bottom three after enduring a third league defeat in four games.
Daniel Podence’s second-half strike was enough for Wolves to claim all three points in a 1-0 win and climb to 16th in the table, overtaking the Hammers who join Everton and Southampton in the drop zone.

The 21-year-old broke the deadlock just before the hour mark before sealing the win in the 84th minute.
Forest, who are now unbeaten in three Premier League games, climbed from 15th to 13th in the table surpassing Leicester and Leeds United, who were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa on Friday night.
Ivan Toney and Mathias Jensen scored for Brentford as they beat Bournemouth 2-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday night.
The Bees go above Liverpool, who drop to ninth, while Bournemouth remain 17th on 16 points, one clear of the relegation zone.
