You might think Manchester United’s players spent Monday licking their wounds after their abject defeat to Brighton – but not everyone was in a repentful mood.

Alexis Sanchez should have been in the ‘keep your head down’ camp after missing the 3-2 loss with an unspecified “little problem”, according to his boss Jose Mourinho.

However, the Chilean ignored that sage advice and took to Twitter to showcase an advert launching his first fashion collection. It features Sanchez in a variety of poses, predictably seducing a woman in the building opposite, to plug the brand 'Alexis by JJO'.

The post was deleted within the hour, but the damage was already done. Let the riots commence:
