Jose Mourinho fumes at Manchester City's TV series: ‘You cannot buy class’
Jose Mourinho has said that Premier League champions Manchester City "cannot buy class" following their Amazon Prime documentary.
The All or Nothing series goes behind the scenes of Manchester City's 2017/18 season, following in the footsteps of Being: Liverpool.
Former Sopranos' actor Ben Kingsley took voiceover duties and delivers the line, "It is Guardiola versus Mourinho once more; possession versus defence; attacking football versus ‘park-the-bus’," before the documentary features United's clash with City in April.
The programme also shows City fans singing about Mourinho and parking the bus, which was played over footage of Mourinho contesting the importance of possession statistics.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Mourinho complained about the content, saying: "You can have a fantastic movie while respecting others.
"You don't need to be disrespectful to have a fantastic movie. You can be a rich club and buy the best players in the world but you cannot buy class and they showed that clearly, that was really obvious."
Mourinho has long been considered a rival of Guardiola, with both men sitting on two Champions League winners' medals.
The Portuguese won Europe's premier competition with Inter Milan and Porto, while Guardiola also triumphed twice with a Lionel Messi-inspired Barcelona.
