Hazard to complete Real deal
Eden Hazard is set to join Real Madrid this summer, according to The Sun. The latest development is that Hazard's representatives have called upon Chelsea to honour an agreement from last year - he could join Real as long as he gave them one more year. With that soon completed, Real are due to make a new offer for the 28-year-old Belgium international. The paper reports that the Spanish side will pay up to ÂŁ90 million for the player.

Paper Round's view: The existence of such an agreement is apparently not denied by insiders at Chelsea, but there may be a temptation to renege on any deal because of their looming transfer ban. However, if they were to go back on their word then it would be difficult to see if they could guarantee that the forward would stay in his best form until his contract ran out.
De Gea given ultimatum
David de Gea has been given a deadline by Manchester United, going by another story in The Sun. The 28-year-old Spain international has been offered a new deal at Old Trafford, and the club want him to make a decision before the transfer window opens. He had been set to sign a new deal back in December but he has yet to make a decision, with Paris Saint-Germain ready to meet his wage demands.

Paper Round's view: Regardless of his recent wobbles, De Gea has overcome dips in form before and remains the best goalkeeper in the world. But losing him for nothing is an option, nor is giving Ed Woodward limited time to work with his limited abilities. Better to raise funds early on and secure a replacement, with Keylor Navas and Gianluigi Buffon two easily secured replacements.
Barca keen on Lacazette
Barcelona are interested in bringing Alexandre Lacazette to the Nou Camp. They have been impressed with the France international's 18 goals so far this season, and could offer around ÂŁ70 million for the 27-year-old. The Spanish champions are also interested in signing Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid, but no talks have been opened with Diego Simeone's team, says the Express.

Paper Round's view: Lacazette has shown plenty of ability this season and his pace and technical ability is an advantage through the middle and down the channels. It is unclear where he would fit in Barcelona's first team, unless they are planning to phase out Luis Suarez in the next season given his age.
Mata linked to Bilbao
The Mirror makes one of the most perplexing transfer claims of the summer with their story concerning Juan Mata. With the 31-year-old playmaker's contract running out in the summer, they claim that Athletic Bilbao will offer him a chance to come back to Spain with a two-year deal. Valencia would also be keen to see him return to the Mestalla, and Brighton are keen to keep him in the Premier League.

Paper Round's view: There is a fundamental problem with this story. Athletic Bilbao are only allowed - by their own rules - to sign players that they consider Basque. Going by Google, and most stories about Mata printed in English, he has absolutely no links with the Basque region and would therefore be prohibited from making any such move.
