Arsenal fans were left typically divided on social media after their team's first Premier League match post-Arsene Wenger - a 2-0 home defeat to Manchester City.

The Gunners were outclassed at times as Pep Guardiola's side began their title defence with a comfortably win thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva.

It is already clear that Unai Emery has his work cut out for him if he is to have his side as title contenders this season, and fans delivered a pretty harsh assessment in general.

But supporters were divided on social media as to whether they would like Wenger back in charge or to embrace Emery's new era...
