The 25-year-old has been widely criticised since his high-profile blunders in the Champions League final against Real Madrid and was again at fault in Sunday's friendly defeat to Borussia Dortmund.
Clearly annoyed and upset by the barrage of abuse he has been subjected to since his performance against Real Madrid, the German has now taken to his Instagram account to vent his frustration and critics.
"To those who take joy in seeing other people fail or suffer, I feel for you," an Instagram post from Karius read.
"Whatever it is that is happening in your life to hold this much anger and hate, I pray that it passes and good things come to you."
Former Spain and Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas also got involved with a passionate defence of the Liverpool man on Twitter.
"This attack on Loris Karius, will it ever end? I'm talking about him like so many other goalkeepers.
"There are many more serious problems in the world… f***!

"Leave the kid alone. He is also a person. As we all are!"
Karius has already seen his number one status effectively taken away from him with Jurgen Klopp having signed Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker in a world-record £67 million deal.
