Transfer Deadline Day 2016: Tottenham announce Nkoudou capture from Marseille, Pau Lopez also in
Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of Marseille’s attacking midfielder Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.
Nkoudou, 21, has signed a five-year deal with Tottenham and has reportedly cost £11 million.
Nkoudou spent one season at Marseille after joining from Nantes and scored five times in 28 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
But his impressive form drew attention from England and he becomes Spurs' third signing of the summer, following Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen.
As part of the deal bringing Nkoudou to the club, Tottenham have allowed forward Clinton Njie to join Marseille on loan.
UPDATE: Keeper Lopez joins from Espanyol
In their second signing on deadline day, Tottenham landed Espanyol keeper Pau Lopez on a season-long loan deal.
The 22-year-old will compete with Michel Vorm to be understudy to Hugo Lloris and it is reported he will be able to join the club for £6m at the end of the season.
