Frank Lampard and his Everton side were booed off by the home supporters at Goodison Park as Brighton left with all three points following an emphatic 4-1 victory. The defeat leaves the Toffees just a point above the Premier League relegation zone and they could drop into the bottom three if results go against them on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Fulham won 1-0 at Leicrster.

Brighton inflicted a heavy 4-1 defeat on Everton at Goodison Park to pile the pressure on Toffees boss Frank Lampard.
Japan international Kaoru Mitoma gave the Seagulls a 14th-minute lead with a composed finish.
Evan Ferguson marked his first Premier League start with a goal five minutes after the restart, and Brighton scored two more inside six minutes.
Ferguson turned provider for Solly March who scored the visitors’ third and Pascal Gross made it four following an error by Idrissa Gueye.
Everton scored a late consolation with Demarai Gray converting a late penalty, as the home side were jeered off by their supporters.
The result leaves Everton 16th, just a point above the drop zone, while Brighton climb into eighth.
Meanwhile, Fulham claimed a third successive win following a 1-0 victory over Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
Aleksandar Mitrovic’s 17th-minute goal, assisted by Willian, proved the difference as the Cottagers moved into an impressive seventh.
Leicester, who have now suffered three straight losses since returning from the World Cup break, went close to levelling when Youri Tielemans hit the crossbar in the 80th-minute.
The Foxes, who were also greeted with boos at the full-time whistle, are 13th and just three points above 18th-placed Nottingham Forest.
