The Manchester United and Newcastle managers couldn't have seen Tuesday's 3-3 draw through any more different lenses.

Manchester United looked to have taken three points from their trip to St James' Park, but Newcastle snatched a late point to close out a thrilling match. But the entertainment wasn't any consolation to Louis van Gaal, who believed that his Red Devils "threw it away."
"We threw it away. You have to finish the game much earlier," said Van Gaal after the game.
"We have scored three goals and have one point. I have said in all my press conferences that you have to score one more goal than your opponent, and we didn't do that."
There's no doubt that van Gaal didn't have an extra thought to Newcastle, or even the referees. He put blame on his own team and their inability to away their various chances to make the Magpies' "luck" irrelevant.
"We are very disappointed. We could have scored six," the Dutchman told Sky Sports.
"When the referee gives a penalty for nothing -- it is a duel I think and you cannot decide who is worse -- but we gave it away."
"It is luck for Newcastle United but we have to force the luck. We needed to finish the chances we had."
Newcastle saw things entirely differently. For Georginio Wijnaldum and Paul Dummett, the match felt like a win and they couldn't have been more happy after the final whistle.
The draw puts Newcastle just one point off of 17th place and potentially avoiding the drop. That's hardly ideal, but the comeback against Manchester United could give them a much-needed boost, and it would be well-deserved for a side that could have lost hope long ago.
Steve McClaren understood the club's situation and couldn't have been more pleased with his players' attitude.
“Fantastic. What a reaction from them, they never gave up – even at 2-0. I think we deserved to get the point in the end," said a clearly delighted McClaren.
“The players have been fantastic. They are building and growing and tonight they got their rewards.”
