Okazaki has signed a four-year contract with the Foxes and will join their first-team squad for next season, subject to a work permit being awarded.
The 29-year-old should have no issue getting permission to play having played 93 times for his country, scoring an impressive 43 goals.

The former Stuttgart and Shimizu S-Pulse man follows Austria captain Christian Fuchs and German defender Robert Huth in signing for the Foxes this month.
Okazaki's arrival may well lead to the departure of New Zealand international Chris Wood, who has fallen down the pecking order at the club.
Okazaki will now compete with Leonardo Ulloa, Andrej Kramaric, David Nugent and Jamie Vardy for a place in the Leicester City attack next season.
