Dimitar Berbatov joins PAOK after failing to agree terms with Aston Villa
Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov looked set to join Premier League side Aston Villa but could not agree personal terms.
The former Tottenham striker joins the Greek side on a free transfer, following his release from AS Monaco.
Berbatov, 34, was at Aston Villa's Bodymoor Heath training ground yesterday, but the striker failed to agree a deal with Tim Sherwood's side.
Berbatov's wage demands are believed to have been deemed excessive by Villa chiefs.
Berbatov scored 13 goals for Monaco, after ending a eight-year spell in the Premier League.
