Arsenal confirm third summer signing as Rob Holding joins from Bolton
Arsenal have announced the capture of young defender Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers.
Holding is still only 20 but made 30 appearances for Bolton last season, performing as either a centre-back or full-back.
The defender was a member of the England Under-21 squad which won the Toulon Tournament earlier this summer along with new team-mate Calum Chambers.
"It's something you dream of as a kid," Holding said. "I can't wait to get started."
Arsenal signed Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka before the start of Euro 2016 and have also added Japanese striker Takuma Asano - although he is expected to be loaned out.
In a rather pointed note, Arsenal ended the Holding press release with the sentence: "We remain in the market, so stay close to Arsenal.com for any further transfer news."
