Nabil Bentaleb ruled out for six weeks
Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb’s injury woes continued after the Algerian was ruled out for at least six weeks following knee surgery.
With Tottenham’s final game scheduled for mid-May, it effectively rules the 21-year-old out for the season.
Expectation for Bentaleb was high ahead of the 2015-16 season, but a mistake in Spurs’ opening day defeat at Manchester United saw him demoted to the bench. Although he returned to the starting XI later in August, it was a short-lived reprieve as ankle injury sidelined him in autumn.
Bentaleb last featured in the Premier League in January – coming on as an 88th minute substitute against Crystal Palace.

It's only a hiccup. Bentaleb has plenty of time to regain his fitness for next season – and Tottenham would have gone about their Premier League quest without him anyway. This season has been a write-off, but Mauricio Pochettino's philosophy revolves around youngsters and the Algerian has every chance of being involved in 2016-17.
