Chelsea set to sign Manchester United misfit Radamel Falcao from Monaco - report

The Colombian forward scored only four goals in 26 matches during a season-long loan deal at Manchester United, who rejected the chance to bring Falcao to Old Trafford on a permanent contract this summer that would have cost them around 50 million Euros.

Marca are claiming that Jose Mourinho will use his relationship with Falcao's agent Jorge Mendes to complete the signing of the former Atletico Madrid forward, who is apparently available for around £25 million.

Monaco are trying to rid themselves of Falcao's £250,000 a week wages, according to the report.

Chelsea need to find a new figure to replace the departing Didier Drogba while Diego Costa struggled with hamstring injuries in the second half of the season.
