Pep Guardiola to sell Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany in the summer
The Sun say that Pep Guardiola's revolution has no place for club captain Vincent Kompany. The report says that the Catalan has instructed director of football Txiki Begiristain to sell the aging Belgian international, indicating that Guardiola is looking to start from scratch with the club's defence.
Paper Round's view: Many thought there would be a defensive overhaul, although one would assume Kompany would be there to play a lesser role in the short term. Injuries have curtailed him from performing at his best, and perhaps it's the hard decision that needs to be made.
Roma reject Chelsea bid for Roma's Kostas Manolas

The report says the Italian club are wiling to do further business in the summer if the price is met, as Chelsea have a list of players they're targeting in a bid to fix pressing squad issues.

Paper Round's view: Manolas has the pedigree of AEK Athens, Olympiakos and Roma at the age of just 24. The Premier League is another step up entirely, but Chelsea are shopping in the right place as he seems committed to improving his already impressive game.

Paper Round's view: While they have a close relationship, doubt Bayern Munich would want to lose a player of Vidal's calibre right away. Perhaps a move is on the cards in seasons down the line, if Conte is still at Chelsea.
