Philippe Coutinho makes unexpected start for Liverpool in FA Cup replay against Plymouth Argyle
Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has been named in the starting line-up to play Plymouth Argyle on Wednesday evening.
The news comes as a surprise after the Brazilian midfielder started on the bench in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford due to fitness concerns.
But Coutinho is one of a sprinkling of big names in an otherwise youthful Liverpool side who will look to reach the FA Cup fourth round tonight.
Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Lucas Leiva all start, while there's a return for the much-maligned Loris Karius between the sticks.
Plymouth held the Reds to a goalless draw in the game at Anfield, taking the tie to tonight's replay at Home Park.
