Major League Soccer side Vancouver Whitecaps have announced the signing of Thomas Muller.
The Bayern Munich legend left the club at the end of last season, bringing a 25-year relationship to an end.
The attacking midfielder signed with the Canadian side for the remainder of the 2025 season with a designated player option for 2026.
"I’m looking forward to coming to Vancouver to help this team win a championship," said Muller.
"I’ve heard great things about the city, but first and foremost, I’m coming to win.
"I’ve had great conversations with Axel Schuster and Jesper Sorensen, and now I can’t wait to play in front of the supporters and to see all of the fans come out to BC Place as we head towards the play-offs."
Whitecaps FC CEO & sporting director Schuster said: "Thomas is a world-class player – the ultimate Raumdeuter; interpreter of space – known for his elite chance creation, unmatched spatial awareness, and relentless off-the-ball movement.
"He not only brings a winning pedigree and exceptional football intelligence, but also a tireless work ethic that will elevate the entire team. Thomas is a natural leader whose passion for the game is infectious.
"This is a statement signing by our club and our ownership – a transformative moment for our club and our city. We are proud to welcome Thomas to Vancouver."

Vancouver acquired Muller's discovery priority from FC Cincinnati in exchange for up to $400,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM).
The "discovery" regulation allows MLS sides to "discover" and select up to five non-MLS players, and be first in line to negotiate a move with that player.
Muller won 33 titles with Bayern and scored an incredible 250 goals and provided 276 assists in 756 matches across all competitions.
He arrives in Canada with a trophy cabinet that includes 13 Bundesliga crowns, two UEFA Champions Leagues and two FIFA Club World Cups.
For Germany, Muller ranks third in caps and has 45 goals and 41 assists to his name for the national side.
He was integral in their 2014 FIFA World Cup triumph and claimed the 2010 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot. Muller announced his international retirement after UEFA Euro 2024.
