Manchester United's Michael Carrick confirms he will retire at end of season
Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has confirmed he will retire at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old has been restricted to four appearances this campaign due to an irregular heart rhythm, which forced him to have surgery in November.
Manager Jose Mourinho revealed in January that the former England international will take up a coaching role with the first team at the end of the campaign.
Carrick has played 463 times for United and won 34 England caps.
