Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is close to sealing a return to football with French side Monaco, according to reports from the BBC.
The 2018 World Cup winner received a four-year ban from Italy's national anti-doping tribunal (NADO) after a random test revealed that he had DHEA in his system.
The ban was eventually reduced to 18 months last October after Pogba launched an appeal, and following the mutual termination of his Juventus contract, he is free to find a new club.
Now the BBC believes that Monaco are hopeful that they can sign the 32-year-old on a two-year deal over the next week.
Pogba's ban came to an end in March, and he has been posting training videos on his social media account in an effort to prove his fitness ahead of his return to professional football.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport's final judgement ruled that the former Red Devil inadvertently took DHEA.

The substance is known to increase testosterone and is included in the World Anti-Doping Agency's banned substances list.
The same judegment also stated that the substance only has an impact on performance for females, though, opening the door for an earlier-than-expected return to the beautiful game for the Frenchman.
Pogba came through Man Utd's academy but famously left to join Juventus in search of first-team football.
The risk paid off, and he returned to Old Trafford in 2016 for a reported then-world-record transfer fee of ÂŁ89 million.
However, the move did not go to plan, and he rejoined Juventus when his contract with the Premier League giants expired.
Pogba may have endured a roller-coaster career at club level, but he has been sensational on the international stage.
He was a key part of a French side that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League.
