PSG 2-2 Stade de Reims - Luis Enrique's frustrated hosts held at home by Reims in Ligue 1 clash

Superstar Kylian Mbappe came on as a substitute for Paris Saint-Germain, but even his impact as a replacement was not enough to inspire a late winning goal as the hosts were held to a frustrating but entertaining 2-2 draw against Stade de Reims at the Parc des Princes in Paris. Luis Enrique's side took the lead after 19 minutes having fallen behind very early on, but then got pegged back.

‘Wonderfully finished’ - Diakite breaks clear and slots home to draw Reims level at PSG

Paris Saint-Germain’s winless streak in Ligue 1 continued as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Reims.
Although Luis Enrique’s runaway leaders moved 10 points clear at the summit, they are now without a victory in three league matches.
PSG fell behind in the seventh minute as Oumar Diakite dispossessed Achraf Hakimi inside the penalty area, before squaring for Marshall Munetsi to slot into the empty net.
The hosts turned the contest around with two goals in as many minutes. First, Yunis Abdelhamid put through his own net, before Goncalo Ramos fired them in front from close range.
Nevertheless, the visitors levelled just before half-time with Diakite latching on to Emmanuel Agbadou’s neat through ball and calmly slid a shot past Keylor Navas.
Both sides went close in the second half. Agbadou headed over from close range for Reims on the hour mark.
Enrique introduced Kylian Mbappe later on and PSG’s talisman almost snatched all three points, curling a shot narrowly wide of the far post with six minutes remaining.

Talking Point – PSG frustrated once more

Leading by 10 points with nine matches remaining, it is difficult to see PSG throwing the title away from the position they are in.
Although, they appear to be stumbling towards the finishing line following a third successive draw.
Mbappe certainly demonstrated what they were lacking when he came on, but it was too late for the hosts to turn one point into three.

Player of the Match – Emmanuel Agbadou

Agbadou produced a commanding performance in the heart of defence to keep PSG at bay in the second half.
The centre-half made the most blocks throughout the contest (four), while only Danilo (five) bettered the four clearances he made.
He also demonstrated his credentials at the other end of the field with a superb through ball for Diakite to latch onto and subsequently score the equaliser, which ultimately earned his side a point.

Match Highlights
7' - GOAL!!! PSG 0-1 REIMS (MUNETSI): The visitors take the lead at Parc des Princes! It's a nightmare for Hakimi, who is robbed of possession inside his own box by Diakite. The latter subsequently squares for Munetsi to tuck into the empty net.
17' - GOAL!!! PSG 1-1 REIMS (ABDELHAMID OG): The hosts are level! Lee whips in an inviting corner from the right flag. The ball ricochets off Abdelhamid and Diouf cannot keep it out.
19' - GOAL!!! PSG 2-1 REIMS (RAMOS): With two goals in as many minutes, the hosts have turned things around! There are more defensive problems for Reims as they fail to deal with Lee's cross from the right. The ball drops to Ramos, whose shot takes a slight deflection before nestling in Diouf's bottom-right corner.
45' - GOAL!!! PSG 2-2 REIMS (DIAKITE): We are all square once again as the visitors equalise! Agbadou shows tremendous vision to pick out Diakite with a precise through ball. The striker then demonstrates wonderful composure to slide the ball past Navas.
59' - WHAT A CHANCE: Agbadou is completely unmarked in the six-yard box as Ito nods a deep corner into his path. However, he cannot keep his header down.
84' - WHISKERS AWAY: Mbappe is found in space on the left side of the area. He takes aim and looks for the far corner, but his bending effort goes fractions wide of the target.
