Bastia dent Nice’s Champions League hopes

Nice’s hopes of securing a spot in next season’s Champions League were dealt a blow when they slipped to a 2-0 home defeat to Bastia in Ligue 1.

Paul Baysse’s dismissal on the hour mark sparked a collapse from the hosts, who were sunk soon after by two quickfire goals.
First, Sadio Diallo netted a free-kick before Floyd Ayite struck from inside the box.
Nice remain eight points behind second-placed Monaco and level on points with Saint-Etienne. Bastia climb into the top half following their third successive victory.
