Lyon one win from title

A 1-0 victory over lowly Sedan put Lyon just one win away from the title.
Lyon's victory took them to 69 points, 17 ahead of closest rivals Toulouse. They will clinch a record sixth consecutive title with an unassailable 20-point lead with six games to play if they beat Rennes in a rescheduled match on Wednesday.
Sedan, 19th and desperate for points in their fight against relegation, surprisingly dominated the first half but missed several opportunities through poor finishing.
They paid the price just before the break when Lyon's 20-year-old striker Hatem Ben Arfa ended a collective move with a perfect volley just inside the post.
"Full credit to Sedan, they gave us a fright in the first half. We scored our goal before halftime but I think we played better in the second half though we lacked the scoring touch," Lyon manager Gerard Houllier told French television.
In an unusual statistic the solitary goal means that only eight were scored in Ligue 1 all weekend, the lowest total since one weekend in the 1986/7 season when only seven were scored. Only two in six were scored on Saturday.
