After Atletico Madrid put seven past Granada earlier in the day Real Madrid have responded by putting six past Real Betis. That result puts them level with their city rivals at the top of the Liga table. That was an astonishing display of attacking intent by Zidane's side.

That was a really cynical foul on Asensio. He was bursting through on goal, but was pulled back... and then some.

This has become a bit of a training exercise for Real Madrid. They are now sitting deep and allowing Real Betis to at least have a go of them breaking them down. Toying with them.

BLASTED OVER! Real Madrid come flying forward through Asensio and Morata, with the pass eventually played to Ronaldo. However, he doesn't hit he target and blasts over.

Marcelo is still playing wherever he feels like it. He's in the centre of the pitch, then he's on the left wing, then he's on the right wing, then he's up front. I think he's enjoying himself.

Isco has been excellent for Real Madrid this evening. Their entire attacking line has played well, but the playmaker has been the best player in blue. He'll be pleased.

Bale is taken off by Zidane, with the Champions League looming next week. He's replaced by Asensio.

Ronaldo has played very well, setting up his teammates for a couple of goals, but in his head he doesn't play well unless he scores. Finally, he has his name on the score sheet. Good goal.

Lucas is brought down by a Real Betis player and the referee pulls the yellow card from his pocket.

Real Betis still look like they want to attack when they have the ball, but it's difficult to do that with much intent when they are 5-1 down. The drive has gone from their play.

Indeed, the change is made and it's the predictable one. Benzema comes off for Morata.

It looks like Zidane is getting ready to make a change, with Morata down on the touchline receiving some words of wisdom from the former Real Madrid midfielder.

Bale goes down in the Real Betis penalty area, but the referee waves away the claims. There was something in that, but the Welsh winger was straight up on his feet again.
