It's been a long wait, but for the first time since 2012 Real Madrid are La Liga champions. They were the best team over the course of the campaign and are worthy winners. They made the most of a disappointing year from Barcelona, with Ronaldo getting his team over the line with some exceptional form.

Just two minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the match. The end of the 2016/17 La Liga season.

OFF THE CROSSBAR! Castro found space inside the Real Madrid penalty area, but Navas made the save to touch the strike on to the crossbar. Inches away from a Malaga goal!

Kroos has been the quiet man of this Real Madrid title success. The German has really come into his own under Zidane. He's the one who dictates the pace and direction of their play.
88'
Well over from Marcelo! Honestly, I swear he shoots more often in the final few minutes of games than any other player. He had a chance there, but blasted it over the crossbar.
87'
KAMENI SAVE! The Malaga goalkeeper has made a number of stops this evening and this time he denies Modric from close range. He always shows up for the big games against the big teams!
86'
Real Madrid have had 19 different scorers in La Liga this season, which is a record equaling tally. Everyone has contributed to this title success. Zidane deserves credit for that.
85'
Marcelo is always one for a late goal when the game is won, but this time he gets his angles wrong and sends his shot well over the target. It was worth a try from the Brazilian.
84'
Malaga are giving it one final go. They need a goal soon if they are to stand any chance of pulling off an almighty comeback. But as things stand, Real Madrid are looking comfortable.
83'
Of course, while Zidane has been quite keen to rest some of his most important players in the second half, there is a gap between now and the Champions League final in two weeks.
82'
The life has been sucked from this game as the Real Madrid away support chant away, counting down the minutes until they can celebrate being La Liga champions. Coasting.
81'
Malaga have actually had more shots on goal than Real Madrid, but at no point have they looked likely to find the net. They have lacked cutting edge, especially since Sandro went off.
80'
Zidane isn't happy with the way his team have lost their focus in the last few minutes. Malaga have improved and Real Madrid's lead could still be clawed back, even at this stage.
79'
After last season, in which Real Madrid won their 11th European Cup, Zidane was charged with leading them to the Spanish title this year. He is now 10 minutes away from doing that.
78'
So Real Madrid are on the brink of their first league win since the 2011/12 season. They have enjoyed some great success of late in the Champions League, but La Liga has always been difficult for them.
77'
Barcelona have scored twice in quick succession and are now ahead, finally.
76'
Navas needed to get a touch on that. The shot from Mikel was a peculiar one, looping towards goal, but the Real Madrid goalkeeper watched it all the way and tipped it over the bar.

One more Real Madrid change and it's Morata who comes on for Benzema. We've seen that a few times this season.
