Antoine Griezmann’s stunning strike earned Atletico Madrid a 1-1 draw at Deportivo as Fernando Torres was knocked out cold late on.

The hosts had taken the lead through Florin Andone in the first half, but Griezmann responded after the break with a sensational effort from 30 yards out.
The horrific injury for Torres occured in the 89th minute, with the striker strechered off and sent to hospital after being knocked out following a clash of heads.

The match was Pepe Mel's first in charge for Deportivo, having been appointed on Tuesday in place of Gaizka Garitano following a dismal run of form.
Former West Brom manager Mel will be boosted by his side’s display as Atletico’s slim La Liga title hopes faded even further away.
Diego Simeone’s side sit fourth, 12 points behind leaders Barcelona, while just a point seperates them and fifth-placed Real Sociedad.
