Blanchett joins Brewers

The 24-year-old was released by Alex at the end of last season after making 44 appearances during the 2010/11 campaign.

Blanchett played against Burton in a pre-season friendly while on trial at Derby this summer.

After not being offered a deal by the Rams, the left-back, who has also played for Peterborough, Stevenage and Hereford, has been snapped up by Albion boss Paul Peschisolido following a run-out against Solihull this week.
