Hansi Flick is set to stay at Barcelona for another two years after agreeing a contract extension with the club. The German has won a domestic treble in his first season in Catalonia, liting La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa. He has now committed to Barcelona until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, with the club praising the 60-year-old for "creating history" in his debut season.

Hansi Flick has been rewarded for a sensational debut season at Barcelona with a new two-year contract.
The German only took charge of the club last summer, when he replaced Xavi. His appointment has been followed by immediate success, as he guided Barca to a 28th La Liga title.
A 2-0 victory over Espanyol earlier this month sealed their return to the summit of Spanish football with two games to spare.
"The show must go on," the club wrote on X as they announced the news. The new contract will run until the end of the 2026/27 season.
It is easy to see why Barcelona were so keen to extend his stay in Catalonia.
Flick has guided them to a domestic treble this campaign, with their league success accompanied by beating Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final, alongside success in the Supercopa de España.

All of that has been done with a swagger, as no team in La Liga could come close to their 99 top-flight goals this season.
Indeed, the only blot on his copybook was an agonising UEFA Champions League semi-final defeat to Inter Milan.
"Hansi Flick has made Barca fans happy in his first season for many reasons: for the belief he has given to the team, for the epic comebacks and for the trophies," the club wrote in a statement on their website.
"The excitement that the German has brought to the club in his first year in charge has made FC Barcelona a feared rival once again in Europe.
"The cherry on the cake this season would have been the Champions League but Flick has had to satisfy himself with being dominant on the domestic scene, winning the Spanish Super Cup, Copa del Rey and La Liga.
"Hansi Flick is creating history at FC Barcelona and that, we are sure, will continue in the coming seasons."
The 60-year-old's success adds further medals to a glittering career.
A four-time Bundesliga winner as a player with Bayern Munich, he also managed the club to seven trophies between 2019 and 2021, including the Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup.
