Bojinov dreams of Barca

The young Bulgarian is co-owned by Fiorentina but has failed to make his mark in Serie B this season after having burst onto the scene with Lecce where he made his Serie A debut aged just 15.

The striker, who has 11 caps for his country, is struggling to live up to his potential, but he still has ambitions to play for the recently dethroned European Champions as a lack of playing time in Turin has seen his reassess his options.

"Playing for Barcelona would be a dream come true for me,” he told Bulgarian newspaper 24 chasa.

“I could wear the jersey which belonged to Hristo Stoichkov, who was my idol when I was a child. He was loved in Barcelona and it would be great to be able to follow in his steps.”
