Jack Warner appoints Myra Hindley’s former QC
Disgraced former FIFA chief Jack Warner has appointed a leading QC who has previously represented Myra Hindley, Maxine Carr and Abu Hamza.
Ed Fitzgerald will defend the former FIFA vice president against accusations of taking a $10million bribe to vote for South Africa to host the 2010 World Cup. He is fighting against extradition to the USA.
Mr Fitzgerald, 61, has previously represented Moors murderer Hindley, Maxine Carr, the ex-girlfriend of Soham murderer Ian Huntley, and radical cleric Abu Hamza.
Warner has been indicted by the US justice department on eight counts of football-related corruption and is currently on bail in Trinidad.
