FIFA's Team of the Year included a vast array of attacking talent, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Eden Hazard and Kylian Mbappe. But there was no room in the team for Liverpool and Egypt's Mo Salah.

Salah was one of the three nominees for FIFA's Player of the Year award and won the 2018 Puskas award for his goal against Everton in the Premier League.
Thibaut Courtois, FIFA's Goalkeeper of the Year, also missed out to Manchester United and Spain's David de Gea.
However there was a spot in the team for France and Chelsea's defensive midfielder N'Golo Kante, who will have a lot of defending to do if the XI ever do take to a field in real life.
Speaking on the night to a round of warm applause, Kante said:
I'm really proud to be here, it's a great honour to be here. I'm enjoying this evening with everyone and I'm very happy, and I hope we can all have a good night.
