Anthony Martial struck late on to rescue Manchester United as they drew 1-1 at home to West Ham in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, leaving both teams in the hat for Monday's semi-final draw.
For Slaven Bilic it would be a chance to crown his first season with a trophy, and for Louis van Gaal it would probably be his last chance at Old Trafford. Nonetheless, he elected to start with Marouane Fellaini in midfield, and Bilic dropped Adrian, Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia to the bench.
Neither side found a way through in the first 45 minutes. In the second half, Dmitri Payet's free-kick brilliantly beat David De Gea from 30 yards. However, Martial managed to turn up with minutes remaining to finish at the near post to equalise.
The two sides go to the Boleyn Ground for the last ever FA Cup tie before West Ham move to their new ground to decide who makes the semis.

TALKING POINT

Should Anthony Martial's goal have been allowed? As Martial struck the ball goalwards, Bastian Schweinsteiger cleverly blocked off Darren Randolph's run to save the shot. It might not have mattered, but it was an obvious piece of obstruction. United were not as bad as they have been of late, but they shouldn't have been given their equaliser.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Dimitri Payet (West Ham United): West Ham were organised, but compared to their previous performances this season, they weren't anything special. Payet himself was quiet for much of the match, but on the hour mark he changed. He dived to try to win a penalty, but at that point he had sparked into a dangerous presence. Daley Blind conceded a foolish free-kick, but it took a magical effort from Payet to give De Gea no chance from so far out.
