Holders Portsmouth will host Bristol City at Fratton Park while there are three all-Premier League ties: Sunderland against Bolton, Hull City at home to Newcastle and Wigan's visit to Tottenham.
Giant killers Barnsley, vanquishers of Liverpool and Chelsea last season, will travel to West Ham United.
Village side Histon, second in the Blue Square Premier and who beat Leeds 1-0 in the second round, will welcome Swansea City to their home ground.
Another club from the division below the Football League, Barrow, have been drawn away to top flight outfit Middlesbrough.
Blue Square North side Droylsden will play away at Ipswich if they get past Chesterfield.
In the other ties featuring non-league sides, Forest Green Rovers are at home to Derby County, Kettering Town and Eastwood Town will play each other if Kettering beat Notts County in a replay, Kidderminster Harriers travel to Coventry and Blyth Spartans have the carrot of a home match with Blackburn Rovers if they can dump out Bournemouth.
