Everton willing to pay to trigger Perez release clause

Sport report that the Toffees have communicated to the player’s camp that they will trigger his contract clause and that a deal signed with them will pay significantly more than the renewal offered by Depor.

Everton are offering a four-year deal at €2m per year, while the Galicians have put on the table a seven-year contract at €1m per year.

Ronald Koeman has given his blessing to the approach, Sport add, as has director of football Steve Walsh, as they look for a complement to Romelu Lukaku.
