But it took them until the 57th minute before a Fanis Gekas header broke the deadlock.
Gekas, who has been out of favour recently, added a second in the 77th minute before 20-year-old Alexandros Tziolis finished off Larissa with a superb long-range strike.
In the other game played on Saturday, a Sotiris Tsatsos goal in the 89th minute gave eighth-placed Egaleo a 1-0 victory at Panionios, who are 13th.
Olympiakos (36 points from 14 games) meet Ionikos on Sunday while second-placed AEK Athens (35 points) take on fourth placed Xanthi.
