Porto confident Martinez will stay

Porto beat Napoli today, but Coach Paulo Fonseca remains “extremely confident Jackson Martinez will stay with us.”

The two teams clashed in the Emirates Cup this afternoon, when Porto fought back for a 3-1 victory.

Jackson Martinez was left on the bench against the club that is in negotiations to buy him for just under €40m.

“I don’t know if you noticed, but whenever Rafa Benitez came towards me on the touchline I’d move away, because I didn’t want him to ask about Jackson Martinez,” joked Fonseca.
