Netherlands v Turkey live – Euro 2024 quarter-final latest as Ronald Koeman's Dutch side hit back in style to set up England semi-final clash

Netherlands set up a Euro 2024 semi-final clash with England after mounting a rousing second-half comeback to end Turkey's hopes with a 2-1 quarter-final victory in Berlin.

A shock looked on the cards when Samet Akaydin rose to nod home the opener for an energised Turkey side on 35 minutes from Arda Guler's pinpoint cross. Full report:

A red card for one of the Turkish technical staff on the touchline. Or is it sub player Bertug Yildirim? No matter. The final whistle sounds. And the Dutch have booked their semi-final date with England in the last four in Dortmund on Wednesday night.

Zeki Çelik sees a finish knocked off the line by Micky van de Ven before De Vrij is across to block the finish by Kerem Aktürkoglu. How did that not end up in the net? So, so close to 2-2.

They looked more than a tad hot and bothered for much of the first half, but the second half is always the key in football and the superior quality of Koeman's side has taken effect at the right time.

And how important will that finish be in changing the mood and momentum of this match. Turkey have worked so hard, but a one-goal lead is far from a done deal. And this match is a live issue.

Brilliant goal from the Netherlands as Stefan de Vrij rises unmarked to power a header into the net from 12 yards. Super ball from Depay. Poor marking, but it is all level at 1-1.

Looks like that is the direction of travel in Berlin unless the Dutch can find some inspiration.

Verbruggen with a solid stop to half the shot by Muldur before Weghorst somehow sticks out a leg to deny Ayhan a certain second goal on the rebound with a tap-in. So close for Turkey. One more goal surely finishes this contest.

Much, much better as Depay thumps a shot at goal that deflects off a white shirt before Günok collects a cross. Yilmaz then wins a free-kick at the other end as Van Dijk is booked for a late shoulder charge.

But doing very little with it. All a bit languid and predictable when the Dutch are in possession. Turkey very, very comfortable in sitting deep in their own half.

Tijjani Reijnders is struggling after a collision, a boot to the head and needs a spot of treatment before we can continue.
