MCGINN DEMANDS IMPROVEMENT
Scotland's goal machine has been speaking to Viaplay:
"We need to be honest with ourselves, we need to improve if we're going to get to the Euros," he said.
"It's the first time in a long time we've won the opening game, we need to take the positives but if we want to move to the next step, we need to improve. We had that feeling walking off.
"The improvement needs to be there Tuesday (against Spain). We need to be brighter, we looked a bit flat. I know Cyprus made it difficult for us, but with the players we've got on the park, we know we can improve.
"I'm being a bit picky. We got three goals but it's one of those days that could have ended 1-1. We know each other inside out now, it's a settled squad. I'm maybe being a bit harsh."
WATCH - MCTOMINAY THE LATE HERO
SUPER SUB
Before today's game, McTominay had one goal in 36 caps
After coming off the bench, he scored two in six minutes. What an impact!
FULL TIME: SCOTLAND 3-0 CYPRUS
Simple enough in the end! McGinn's opener after 21 minute got the ball rolling, and McTominay struck twice after coming off the bench to seal it late on.
Scotland earn their first opening-day win to a qualification campaign since 2006! Spain next...
Cyprus
IOANNOU SENT OFF
Oh dear, this has really fallen apart for Cyprus now. Ioannou was already booked, and he boots the ball away to earn a second yellow card out of pure frustration.
Scotland
GOAL! MCTOMINAY AGAIN
Cyprus are caught out as a ball into the box is cleared only as far as Robertson, who squares a pass to McTominay and the midfielder finishes calmly into the bottom corner. What an impact from the Manchester United man!

CYPRUS COME FORWARD
Cyprus still want a goal and Antoniou has a pop from distance, but his shot flies harmlessly over.
ROBERTSON OFF TARGET
Robertson has a chance to make it three, but lashes a shot over from a promising position. We're into five minutes of added time now.
Scotland
GOAL! MCTOMINAY SEALS THE WIN FOR SCOTLAND
You can hear Hampden sigh with relief! Christie whips a cross in from the byline and Dykes lays a header off into the path of McTominay, who controls it on his thigh before smashing a left-footed finish into the roof of the net!
Fantastic goal and that's game over.

GUNN SAVES
Kikoulis has a go from the edge of the box, and Gunn gets down well to hold a stinging effort.
FANTASTIC CROSS
Robertson combines well with McGinn and fizzes a dangerous low cross across the six-yard box, but Dykes isn't there to apply the finishing touch...
CYPRUS ON THE FRONT FOOT
Cyprus immediately threaten as Kakouli has a shot blocked. Nervy times for Scotland.
DOUBLE CYPRUS CHANGE
The visitors are going for it! Two strikers are brought on for the final stretch here - Loizou and Tzionis for Gogic and Kastanos.
Hickey is replaced by Patterson for Scotland.
CYPRUS PUSHING
Cyprus are coming out of their shell a bit now. They need a goal in the final 15 minutes to take a famous result away from Hampden.
PORTEOUS BOOKED
Porteous is shown yellow.

HAMPDEN IN FINE VOICE
The Hampden crowd belt out a rendition of 'Flower of Scotland' to try and get the players going.
There's almost a bit of a mix-up in the Scotland defence as Ioannou goes on a rampaging run forward and almost barrels straight through two players, but the chance comes to nothing. A small warning?
SCOTLAND KNOCKING ON THE DOOR!
No way through for the Scots! A ball into the box finds Dykes, who lays it off to Christie from six yards, but his shot is blocked. It cannons back to McTominay, but he also finds a sea of bodies in front of his shot.
Heroic last-ditch defending from Cyprus, but a good impact from the Scotland replacements.
Scotland
DOUBLE SCOTLAND CHANGE
Here come the changes...Armstrong, who has just come to life, goes off along with Jack. On come McTominay and Christie.
Charalampous is on for Cyprus, replacing Pittas.
GREAT CHANCE!
Just as we say that, Scotland create the best chance of the second half!
It all comes from Armstrong, who spins his marker, drives forward and picks out Robertson in space on the left side of the box. The skipper rolls a cross towards the back post, but there's no one there to knock it in.
Armstrong then threatens again with a shot from the edge of the box, but it's held by the keeper.
