FT: Belgium 3-1 Russia. The Red Devils start the campaign with a win thanks mainly to E. Hazard. Russia played well but just lacked quality in the final third - something the Chelsea man had in abundance.
RED CARD! Golovin is off after kicking back at Mertens. That could cost Russia going forward and the referee did well to spot it. Not sure if it was a straight red or a second booking though.

GOAL! Belgium 3-1 Russia. Castagne crosses for Batshuayi, who gets the ball stuck under his feet but eventually works it Hazard, who tucks home for his second goal of the game. That's the three points secured for Belgium.

Chadli nutmegs Nababkin to burst into the box but then fouls Fernandes.
Russia sned a cross into the box but it's cleared. They could have done more of that when Dzyuba was still on the pitch.

Mertens and then, inadvertently, Batshuayi look to have put Castagne through on goal but the flag is up.
Tielemens, the first man, heads the corner away and Courtois then claims the follow-up cross.
Golovin and Fernandes combine to win a corner.
Belgium's corners have been very ineffective tonight and Russia clear another.
Chalov wastes a good position by sending a cross straight out of play.
Chalov comes on for his debut, replacing Russia's scorer Cheryshev.

Guilherme does well to prevent a corner after a loose header from fellow Brazil-born man Fernandes.
The game feels more stretched in the last few minutes, with neither side able to keep the ball for long but both moving it quickly.
