‘A new low’: Scotland make nightmare start to Euro 2020 qualifying in Kazakhstan

Scotland’s qualifying campaign got off to the worst start possible against Kazakhstan on Thursday, with Alex McLeish’s men finding themselves 2-0 down within 10 minutes…before losing 3-0.

The Scots are looking to reach their first major tournament since the 1998 World Cup, and headed to Astana (or Nursultan, as the Kazakh capital is known as of Wednesday…) in the hope they could kick off their bid to make the 24-team Euro 2020 tournament in style.
However, they found themselves 1-0 down after six minutes…
And 2-0 down just four minutes later…
Cue the jokes and self-loathing…
And it appears even Sky tried to do Scotland fans a favour…
It didn't get much better after the break, with Scotland going on to lose 3-0...
