Darren Fletcher devastated after 'low blow' ends Scotland hopes

Darren Fletcher could not hide his devastation as Scotland saw their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2016 ended by an injury-time equaliser for Poland at Hampden Park.
The hosts came from 1-0 down to lead 2-1 only to see Robert Lewandowski grab his second goal at the death. The draw, combined with the Republic of Ireland's shock win over Germany, ended Scotland's hopes of finishing third in Group D and making the play-offs.
West Brom midfielder Fletcher said on Sky Sports 2: "It's been a disappointing night after how well we played. When you lose a goal like that late on it's a real low blow to everyone in the dressing room.
"We felt we were making a lot of progress, but ultimately we failed to do what we set out to do or even make the play-offs."
Matt Ritchie brought Scotland level at 1-1 with a stunning strike from outside the area at the end of the first half.
But the Bournemouth man said: "S coring's nice but it means nothing."
