Dhorasoo quits French team

Vikash Dhorasoo has retired from international football, saying he is "not interested" in the French team. The 32-year-old midfielder made two cameo appearances as France reached the World Cup final, taking his total caps to 18.

However, the Paris Saint-Germain player was jeered by France fans in the lead-up to Germany 2006, and voiced his lingering resentment in an interview with Le Parisien on Tuesday.
"If you ask me if I'm still interested to play for France I'll answer you that I'm not," he said. "I'm not interested in playing for Les Bleus anymore. It's over. That's it."
The former Lyon and AC Milan man made his international debut in 1999, but he was never able to make a deep-lying creative role his own in France's workmanlike midfield.
He played an increased role in Les Bleus' stuttering World Cup qualifying campaign and became a target for fans' frustration with Raymond Domenech, as he was seen as one of the coach's 'favourites'.
