Dimitar Berbatov joins Kerala Blasters FC
Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters FC have announced that they have signed former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov.
The Bulgarian forward, 36, has signed a one-year contract having been a free agent since leaving Greek side PAOK in 2016.
Kerala Blasters, who are partly owned by former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, were runners-up in the 2016 ISL season to Atletico de Kolkata who are now managed by Teddy Sheringham and have just signed Robbie Keane.
Kerala are managed by former United assistant manager Rene Meulensteen and recently signed Wes Brown, a former team-mate of Berbatov's, as well as Iain Hume, last season's second top scorer.
The new season will see two new expansion teams join and expand the season from three months to five.
