In a feisty match, in which Javier Mascherano was sent off in the first half for bringing down Kevin Gameiro when he was the last defender, the teams could not make a breakthrough in normal time in a bid for one of the sides to clinch another trophy this season.

Ever Banega was also sent off late on for bringing down Neymar when he was looking to go through on goal.
