What did you make of the game? Should Ancelotti be concerned by the form of Isco? Are Real Madrid favourites to lift this season's Copa Del Rey? Tweet me (@grahamruthven)!
Real Madrid ease into the semi-finals thanks to Jese's early goal in the first half. In the end that goal killed off the game, giving Espanyol too much to do. Los Blancos will now face Atletico Madrid or Athletic Bilbao in the competition's last eight.
FULL TIME: Real Madrid 1-0 Espanyol (2-0 on aggregate)
The crowd urges Arbeloa to shoot from the edge of the box and the former Liverpool defender obliges, but his effort flashes past the post. That would have been a nice way to secure the win.
Ronaldo is still giving it his all, even this late in the game, but his pass across the face of goal is cut out by Sidnei in the Espanyol backline. He was looking for Morata but maybe he should have taken on the shot himself.
Three minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.
Ronaldo lines up a freekick about 25 yards out from goal but he fires his effort straight into the static wall. That's a disappointing way to wrap up what has been a frustrating night for the winger.
YELLOW CARD: Sidnei Rechel (Espanyol)
So close for Espanyol! Garcia plays a wonderful deep cross to the back post, where Raul Rodriguez is waiting. But he somehow manages to put his shot into the side netting from a matter of yards. He should have scored!
Real Madrid sub: Angel Di Maria OFF, Casemiro ON.
YELLOW CARD: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)
Ronaldo still can't find the net! Jese plays a very neat one-two with the number seven, releasing him through on goal. But with the angle getting tighter and Casilla coming off his line Ronaldo puts his shot in the side netting.
Morata is played through by Jese, with the big striker getting the ball out of his feet and firing a ferocious shot at goal. The keeper saves with his legs but the flag is up for offside.
Isco comes off for Real Madrid. He's clearly still short of match fitness and hasn't played much recently. And of course there's the fact that Ancelotti is playing him in different positions whenever he does get on the pitch.
Real Madrid sub: Isco OFF, Alvaro Morata ON.
Espanyol sub: Alex Fernandez OFF, David Lopez ON.
Sanchez is shown his fourth red card in just 62 appearances for Espanyol, although that second yellow card looked a little harsh. He was shown it for a high foot on Alonso.
SENT OFF! Victor Sanchez (Espanyol) - second yellow card
Real Madrid are cruising this game now as Espanyol's resistance starts to wane. They put up a good fight after the break but now they're chasing shadows as the home side toy with them in midfield.
