The midfielder was briefly unconscious when the incident occurred in the 65th minute of the game but regained consciousness and walked off the pitch.
He has now shared his first update on his condition, reassuring everyone he is "feeling good".
"I want to let everyone know that I am doing well and that I am home with my family," he wrote on Instagram.
"As you can probably imagine, receiving a shock from my ICD has had a major impact on both me and my family, but I want to reassure everyone that this was a different situation from what happened in 2021.
"I am feeling good, and my recovery has already started."
Players from both Denmark and Ukraine quickly formed a ring around Eriksen when he collapsed and received treatment before he was led off the field and the match was called off.
And the Denmark national team doctor Morten Boesen credited the pacemaker for doing its job in a statement on Sunday evening.
”Christian is doing well and walked off the pitch by himself. As I see it, the pacemaker responded as it should,” Boesen said on Sunday.
Eriksen echoed those sentiments and expressed his gratitude for all those who have helped him with this issue over the years.
He added: ”In addition to being grateful for the support and assistance of all the players and the medical team on the field, I am also incredibly grateful to the doctors who have cared for me and my heart over the years.
”Thanks to their expertise, my ICD did exactly what it was designed to do: protect me when I needed it.
"For now, my focus is on recovering, spending time with my family, going on vacation, and playing football with my children.”
Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during Denmark's Euro 2020 opener against Finland on June 12, 2021.
The Dane, who was contracted by Internazionale at the time, recovered and was fitted with an implanted cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) but was not permitted to play in Serie A owing to the ICD.
He was then offered a route back into the game by Brentford in January 2022 and made his return to the Premier League.
Eriksen then spent three seasons at Manchester United, making 107 appearances and winning an FA Cup and a Carabao Cup.
He joined VfL Wolfsburg in September 2025 and made 34 appearances during the 2025/26 Bundesliga season.
