Charlie Raglan to undergo hernia surgery

Chesterfield defender Charlie Raglan needs a hernia operation and is set for a month-long spell on the sidelines.
Raglan has been nursing the problem for the past few games but the issue has been getting worse and, with the club bringing in defensive cover during the transfer window, the decision has been taken for him to undergo surgery.
The 22-year-old, who has made 20 Sky Bet League One appearances this season, joins fellow defenders Ian Evatt and Dan Jones on the sidelines.
Rodger Wylde, head of sports science and medicine at Chesterfield, told the club's official website: "After discovering the problem we had to decide whether to operate on the area now and fix it or try to wait it out until later.
"We found that the injury was deteriorating and with fresh cover brought into the squad this week it was decided to go ahead with the procedure now.
"Post-op you would normally expect a four-week recovery time and that's the prognosis for Charlie's injury."
Chesterfield boss Danny Wilson strengthened his squad with the signings of Tom Anderson and Gary Liddle ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.
He said: "With the situation that has developed with Ian Evatt - who seems likely to be out for longer than we had hoped for - and also with Charlie Raglan having a hernia we were desperate to fill those gaps and thankfully we've been able to do that."
