Trundle given all-clear

Bristol City have been granted permission to field Lee Trundle in a friendly against Yeovil Town on Saturday. The 30-year-old striker will officially complete his transfer - thought to be worth around £1million - from Swansea on Monday.

Manager Gary Johnson told the club's official website: "Lee will play on Saturday."

Trundle scored 19 goals in 30 League One appearances for the Swans last season and will be a useful addition at Ashton Gate.

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins told the club's official website: "It's a very sad day for the club because we tried everything possible to keep Lee.

"We spoke about a wage increase amongst other incentives, but the one thing we couldn't guarantee him this season was Championship football."
