Luis Enrique was overjoyed to make history after leading Paris Saint-Germain to their first UEFA Champions League triumph with a 5-0 thrashing of Internazionale in the final.
Desire Doue's brace and a goal each from Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu ensured PSG became the first side to win either a European Cup or Champions League by a five-goal margin.
Enrique also became the first manager since Pep Guardiola to win a treble with two different clubs after achieving the feat with Barcelona in 2015.
He told TNT Sports: "I’m very happy. Making history was one of the goals from the beginning of last year, and the way we played today in the final means a lot for me.
"As a coach, I have to congratulate my players and the fans for the unbelievable way in which they supported us.
"It's one of the best feelings that you have as a professional, making people happy."
The Parisians set the tone for a dominant win with two goals in the opening 20 minutes from Hakimi and Doue, and Enrique hailed a "complete performance" from his side.
"I think the match was difficult, but we put the right pressure in defence and we didn't allow them to play their normal football," he explained.
"After that, when we scored the first two chances that we had, it was amazing.
"I think it was a really complete performance."

The 2005 Champions League winner Steven Gerrard gushed effusively about PSG’s display and believes it is the finest he has ever seen in Europe’s premier club competition.
When asked about what it would take for the Spaniard to join a group of elite managers shortly after the final whistle, the former Liverpool captain replied: "Go and put in the best Champions League performance there's ever been. I'm 45 years of age and I've never seen a performance like that. Challenge that.
"The talent across this squad, it's a special group of players, and they're getting coached by a special person as well."
