Luka Modric will return to the UEFA Champions League this season in what could be his last dance on European Football's grandest stage.
The Croatian midfielder signed a one-year contract extension with Real Madrid after they defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in last year's final.
Modric's future is not yet set in stone, and he could still sign on for a further year or move to another giant of European football.
However, at 39 years old, there is a chance this is our last opportunity to see a true legend of the game strut his stuff.
With that in mind, let's look back at this artist's record in the competition.
What is Modric's record in the Champions League?
Modric has won the competition six times, meaning he is tied with five other Real Madrid legends as the player with the most winners' medals ever.

He is joined on six titles by recently-retired former midfield partner Toni Kroos, current team-mate Dani Carvajal, former captain Nacho and 1950s icon Paco Gento.
The midfielder was also part of the Los Blancos side that won three on the bounce between 2016 and 2018.
However, he actually made his Champions League debut back in 2006.
His Dinamo Zagreb side were eliminated from Champions League qualifying during the 2006-07 season and the 2007-08 campaign.
The midfielder would return to the competition in 2010 with his new club Tottenham, and this time he would make it all the way to the quarter-finals.
A side boasting the likes of Gareth Bale, Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch, defeated Serie A giants AC Milan and Inter Milan during the memorable run.

However, in a poetic twist of fate, Spurs' iconic run would be ended by Real Madrid.
Modric would then join the Spanish giants in 2012, winning the first of his Champions League titles in 2014, before helping Madrid to their remarkable hat-trick in the second half of the 2010s.
He won his fifth in the 2021-22 campaign and took his tally to six last term.
How many goals has he scored?
If you take into account Modric's appearances for Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League qualifying stage, then the midfielder has scored 11 goals.
However, the 39-year-old has offered far more than just goals and assists across nearly two decades at the top of European football.
Modric pulled the strings in one of the most successful midfields in the history of the sport, and is now passing on his expertise to a new generation of stars at the Santiago Bernabeu.
