Luis Enrique insists PSG's victory over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League changed their season and that his side can now go toe-to-toe with Premier League leaders Liverpool.
The French giants battled back from 2-0 down to defeat Pep Guardiola's side 4-2 in their league phase clash last January.
The result helped PSG into the play-offs, where they demolished Ligue 1 rivals Brest 10-0 on aggregate.
PSG will now face Liverpool in the last 16 - live on TNT Sports and discovery+ - and Enrique believes the triumph over City helped turn PSG's season around.
"Well, why not? Why not?" he told TNT Sports after being asked if PSG have the confidence to beat Arne Slot's side.
"I think that match against Manchester City changed something around us because of the way we won that match.

"Now it is a different match, a different ground and we are playing against maybe the best team in Europe during this season.
"I think it is a very nice match to watch and I hope we can manage that in the right way.
"We are looking forward to playing that match."
The first leg will be held at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday, with the second leg set to take place on March 11 at Anfield.
Enrique argued that the first match of the tie would not be make or break and that both sides have the quality to come back in the second leg.
"I am not sure [if the first leg will determine the tie]," he added.
"The way we play, both teams, I don't think that any bad result in the first match is going to determine the whole tie.
"I think we can lose the first match and win away, and they can do the same.
"I think it is one of the best matches that you can watch in the present moment in Europe right now."

PSG are currently top of Ligue 1, having gone 22 games unbeaten across all competitions, and Enrique says that his side are enjoying their best moment of the season.
"I don't know [what the key to PSG's recent form has been], I don't know, that is football," he added.
"It is amazing when you can feel that and now it is true, we are in our best moment of the season.
"We hope and we try to continue in that way."
